- How do I pay fees for a held book?
Fees for keeping books should be made by bank transfer to the bank account number: 43 1240 6263 1111 0011 1431 7156

- How can I join the Library of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences?
- You do not have to sign up for the Library of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Our collections can be used by all readers, but only on the spot.
- Who can borrow books for the home?
- Only students, doctoral students and employees of SGGW are entitled to borrow from the Lending Room.
- I am a student of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, what do I have to do to use the lending room?
- Students wishing to borrow home textbooks must activate their own accounts. To do this, go to the online catalog of the library, select the “My Account” [“moje konto”] tab and then follow the instructions “First login to the system” [“Pierwsze logowanie do system”] included there.
- I am a student of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. How many books can I borrow and for how long?
- A student of WULS-SGGW may borrow 5 books for a period of 30 days at a time.
- What are the consequences if I do not return the books on time?
- If the deadline for returning the book is exceeded, the reader’s account is blocked and the system charges a fee of PLN 0.50 for each day of delay.
- What does “open stacks” mean in the Library?
- Open stacks is a part of the Library (reading room) where you can choose books from the shelves yourself. After using them, the reader is obliged to put them back on the carts.
- Can all library materials be copied?
- No, you are not allowed to copy theses, standards, and materials from before 1960.
- Where can I scan the materials I need?
- The scanner is located in the Didactic Reading Room.
- Can I use the camera to copy some pages from a book?
- Yes, with the consent of the librarian and in compliance with the copyright law.
- Can I use my own laptop in the Library and connect to the Internet?
- You can use your own laptop in the Library. Internet connection is possible via a wireless network.
- I am looking for literature on …. Where should I start?
- We propose to start by searching the catalog and databases available from the Main Library website.
- In case of further problems, please contact the Scientific Information Department (room 102, first floor).
- Can I access the Library’s electronic resources at home?
- Yes, students, doctoral students, and employees of WULS-SGGW can use the databases available in the Main Library using computers outside the WULS-SGGW network. To gain access, enter the digital equivalent of the barcode as the user ID in the Library as LOGIN. The PASSWORD should be the one that allows you to log in to the user’s account at the Main Library of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. If you do not know your login or password, please contact the reading room PERSONALLY (personal data protection) – an employee or a student library.
- I am a 2nd year student and so far I have not completed any library training. What should I do?
- Students who have not completed the library training can complete it each year, from October to December, by joining any group. The training schedule is available on the website of the Main Library and on the door of the room of the Scientific Information Department.
- Where can I get the clearance slip?
- Students are to have the circulation slip stamped in the Student Lending Room, and employees in the Reading Room.
