Researcher identifiers
ORCID
ORCID is an international system for identifying an author and his or her work. The identifier consists of 16 digits divided into four parts and stored as an HTTPS URL. It is available to any researcher regardless of career stage.
SCOPUS AUTHOR IDENTIFIER
Scopus Author ID is an identifier created automatically in the Scopus database. The ID distinguishes similar names by assigning a unique number to each author in Scopus and grouping all papers written by that author and held in the database’s holdings.
WEB OF SCIENCE RESEARCHER ID
Web of Science Researcher ID is a unique identifier that differentiates researchers in the Web of Science. Web of Science ResearcherID provides the global research community with an invaluable index of author information. Web of Science Group products (Web of Science, InCites, EndNote) use a Web of Science ResearcherID to match and disambiguate researchers across products.
