Invitation to the exhibition hosted by the SGGW main Library with a presentation of the NBP collector’s coin issued to honor the memory of Władysław Grabski
The presentation of the new NBP collector’s coin “The Great Polish Economists – Władysław Grabski” is accompanied by a board exhibition entitled “A self-portrait of the Polish zloty. The images of Polish banknotes and coins issued in 1919-1924″, prepared by the Museum of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The exhibition’s author is Ms. Karolina Grobelska, a curator of the SGGW Museum.
Anyone visiting the exhibition may see the banknotes and coins used after Poland regained its independence in November 1918, and those introduced as a result of the Grabski’s currency reform, on 01 April 1924.
The NBP holobox displays the coin:
- the reverse side (tail) of the coin features the image of Władysław Grabski and his birth and death dates.
- the obverse side (head) depicts a quote from the Wychowanie publiczne jako czynnik sanacji gospodarczej. O własnych siłach. Zbiór artykułów na czasie.
