The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences is the largest and oldest veterinary department in Poland. In the interwar period and after the Second World War (from 1946), it was active in the organizational structures of the University of Warsaw. In 1952, it was formally transferred, together with the library, to the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, but it did not change its location in Grochów. At the same time, the library became part of the library network of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences as a unit subordinate to the Main Library. In the years 1974-1975, some of the Faculty’s units and the Library were moved to a new building in Ursynów, and a branch of the Library remained in Grochów. The consolidation of the book collection was carried out after 2000. - The main fields of study and subject areas represented at the Faculty:
