  5. Date of establishing of the library, short historical overview
    The library was established in 1983. The collection is based on the collections previously donated by the Departments and Units of the Facultys and the Main Library of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
  6. The main fields of study and program subject areas represented at the Faculty.
    Human nutrition, food science, dietetics, gastronomy, economic science and consumption.

    16 000 volumes
  8. Organization of the book collectios:
    most of the collections are available in the reference library mode. Books are arranged thematically according to the names of departments, corresponding to the profile and specificity of the studies.
  9. Organization of access:
  • number of places in the reading room and computer workstations: There are 30 places in the reading room, 2 computer workstations with access to the library catalog of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, and 8 workstations for searching for information and materials on the Internet. One position is adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.
  • on-site access: all interested readers can use the collections.
  • Persons entitled to borrow books, the mode, and rules of borrowing: employees and doctoral students, in accordance with the Regulations for sharing collections.
  • penalties and additional fees: in accordance with the regulations of access.
  1. Improvements taking into account the needs of people with disabilities:
    The entrance adapted to the needs of people with disabilities is located on the side of  Nowoursynowska street. There is a button that opens the front door and an elevator.
