  • Rules in libraries

    We’re looking forward to wecloming the faculty, employees, doctoral students, and students of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

    General rules in libraries

    1. Wearing a mask is required in the library.  The employee of the library has the right to refuse to provide services to people who do not cover their nose and mouth.
    2. Hand disinfection and keeping distance is mandatory.
    3. Just 1 person at a time can stay at the librarian’s stand.
    4. Short-term rentals remain unavailable.
    5. Luggage lockers are not available. We allow backpacks and handbags to be brought into the reading rooms.Reading rooms

    1. Booking seats in advance is not possible.
    2. It is not allowed to work together in groups.
    3. Books that are in open access should searched by the reader on their own.
    4. The book order should contain the following information:

    • reference number in the case of a book from a warehouse
    • reference number, volume (year) and issue number in the case of a journal
    • library reference number, not PKN number in the case of standard

    6. Readers using their own materials are encouraged to freely take places in the Current Journals Reading Room on the mezzanine
    (maintaining a distance of 1.5 m)
    7. Readers using directory computers (OPAC); please disinfect your hands each time before using the computer.
    8. Please use your own writing utensils.
    9. Clearance slips (“obiegówka”) can be processed in the following way:

    • employees:  in person in the reading room or by sending a scan by e-mail to the address bg_ouz@sggw.edu.pl
    • students: in person at the rental desk, or send a scan by e-mail to the address bg_wsp@sggw.edu.pl

     

    In the Student Textbook Lending Room

    1. Temporarily – for the period of the epidemic, we are increasing the borrowing limit – up to 10 volumes for 30 days.
    2. We recommend placing orders online from your own computers to reduce the possibility of transmitting infections.
    3. The possibility of ordering  books that are borrowed is suspended until further notice.
    4. The reader may remotely extend the return period.
